Dr. Fontenelle-Gilmer has an impressive academic and professional background. She received her educational training from Harvard Medical School, John Hopkins University, Sheppard Pratt Hospital, and the University of Maryland. She is board certified in General Psychiatry, and the sub specialty of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
For the past 15 years Dr. Fontenelle-Gilmer has practiced in a variety of both outpatient and inpatient settings. Most recently, she served as an Assistant Director of Residency Training for a family medicine program in Michigan, where she taught residents and provided hospital-based psychiatric consultation services to primary care doctors. Her approach to medication is conservative and she is an advocate of psychotherapy (talk therapy).
Dr. Fontenelle-Gilmer lives with her husband of 13 years and their two active boys, ages 11 and 9. She loves spending time with her family, photography, community service, and is and avid sports fan.
Jamie Cichon, MD
Dr. Cichon is a passionate advocate for increased quality care standards as it relates to mental healthcare. As a native of Las Vegas she is familiar with many of the dire challenges faced by the state, particularly as it relates to high suicide rates and a general lack of quality mental health treatment.
Dr. Cichon has impressive academic and clinical experience. She received her educational training from Washington University (St. Louis) and received undergraduate degrees in both Spanish and Biochemistry. She was also fortunate to live abroad in Europe where she pursued one of her passions as a Yoga instructor.
In 2011 Dr. Cichon graduated from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and completed her Psychiatry Residencey at the prestigious Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida. She completed an internship at the Maricopa Integrated Health System in Arizona. More recently she has been practicing medicine in West Virginia as the only female psychiatrist responsible for the hospital’s patients requiring both psychiatric and neurological care.
Her professional background includes inpatient and outpatient work in a variety of settings including evaluations, screenings, medication management, and psychotherapy. She has a special interest in women’s mental health issues as well as mood disorder diagnosis/treatment such as Major Depressive Disorder. Dr. Cichon is one of the few clinicians trained to provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS Therapy). She specializes in working with Adult and Geriatric patients here at Strive Behavioral Health and the TMS Center of Nevada.
